Homemade “Dukes” Mayo
I a “team mayo” girl! You either love it or hate - But I love it! Sadly most store bought mayos are full of questionable ingredients that can hurt your health. That’s why I like to make my own. It’s cheaper and healthier and so easy to make.
Here’s my take on it.
Homemade Dukes Mayo
Yield: 20
Prep time: 5 MinTotal time: 5 Min
Ingredients
Instructions
- Find a container with tall sides - I used a 32 oz Masion jar with a large mouth opening
- Crack the egg into the mixing container
- Add the vinegars and lemon juice, salt, and paprika
- Pour avocado oil over this mixture
- Place a handheld stick blender into the jar - make sure your blender touches the bottom of the jar
- Now turn on blender (low speed) and keep the blender head touching the bottom of the jar until the mixture starts to turn white and get thick
- Once that happens, about 30 secs, then slowly move the blender up to incorporate the rest of the mayo
- Blend until the consistency you like - may adjust for seasoning after by adding in and hand stirring
- Should last 2 weeks in your fridge
