New Cauliflower Mash
This version requires no liquid, milk, or milk substitute and that is the beauty and simplicity of this side
It's the same old favorite, but a new take on making it. To be honest, I really never thought I'd post this one for you. Cauliflower mash has been around a while, and most people have this as a low carb stand by. However, I made this for my family this past Christmas, and they raved about it! Think a table full of very vocal Cajuns who are serious about their food! I was shocked! It's the recipe I have been using for years, and I like it because there are only three ingredients ... cauliflower, butter or ghee, and salt. That's it: no milk or milk substitutes. Personally, the fact that it contains no liquid ingredients is my favorite part. I always felt like that's where the recipes I tried in the past took a turn for the worst.
As always, when I cook, I aim for the highest quality nutrients to feed my body. In this case, use high-quality grass-fed butter or ghee for all the vitamin A and D it offers. As well, aim for a Himalayan mineral salt - you'll get the benefit of the insane amount of trace minerals found there. Because cauliflower is a sulfur-rich veggie, it is incredibly supportive of liver detoxification, which will support your hormonal balance and immune system!
